　　港珠澳大桥海底隧道长5.6公里，是世界最长的公路沉管隧道和唯一的深埋沉管隧道，也是我国第一条外海沉管隧道。海底部分约5664米，由33节巨型沉管和1个合龙段最终接头组成，最大安装水深超过40米。

　　港珠澳大桥是连接香港、珠海、澳门的超大型跨海通道，集桥、岛、隧道于一体，全长55公里，是世界上最长的跨海大桥，是中国建设史上里程最长、投资最多、施工难度最大的跨海桥梁，对促进香港、澳门和珠江三角洲西岸地区经济上的进一步发展具重要的策略意义。整个大桥造价超过720亿元人民币，由中央及粤港澳三地府共同出资兴建，计划收费50年，设计使用寿命120年，建成后可抗8级地震。

　　港珠澳大桥主体工程海底隧道工程是港珠澳大桥的控制性工程，也是最后一个贯通的部分，在历时7年，中国交建等5个单位、千余名专家及技术人员呕心沥血，突破数个世界级难题后，最终在海底成功打造了一段“金城汤池”。待各工程陆续收尾后，港珠澳大桥于2017年7月7日实现主体工程全线贯通；于2018年2月6日完成主体工程验收；同年10月24日上午9时开通运营。

　　

英法海底隧道

 

　　英法海底隧道，也称“英吉利海峡隧道”，是连接英国多佛尔和法国加来之间的埋地隧道。全长50.5公里，其中大部分隧道位于海底下方，是世界上最长的海底隧道之一。英法海底隧道的建造花费高达110亿英镑，历时6年建设，于1994年5月6日正式通车。

　　英法海底隧道的建造波折不断，自从提议开始到通车，历时200多年。早在1802年，法国科学家让·安德烈·马瑞特和英国工程师威廉·亚当斯就曾在海峡中央勘察过。但由于当时技术条件的限制，他们只能通过直线挖掘试验来探测海峡底部的可行性。直到二战后，电气开采技术的发展，才使海底隧道的建设变得有望实现。

　　英法海底隧道的建设是人类工程历史上的一项重大创举。建设过程中需要克服的技术难关非常多，如洞穴掘进、海床浅层地质构造、防水难题等。此外，为了保证通车前的安全性，还要在建设过程中进行复杂而严谨的测试和检验。

　　The subsea tunnel of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is 5.6 kilometers long. It is the longest highway immersed tunnel in the world and the only deep-buried immersed tunnel. It is also the first offshore immersed tunnel in my country. The seabed part is about 5,664 meters, consisting of 33 giant immersed tubes and a final joint of the Helong section, with a maximum installation depth of more than 40 meters.

　　Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge:

　　The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is a super-large sea-crossing passage connecting Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macau. It integrates bridges, islands and tunnels. With a total length of 55 kilometers, it is the longest sea-crossing bridge in the world and the longest in China's construction history. The cross-sea bridge with the most investment and the most difficult construction has important strategic significance for promoting the further economic development of Hong Kong, Macau and the west bank of the Pearl River Delta. The entire bridge cost more than 72 billion yuan. It is jointly funded by the central government and the three prefectures of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau. It is planned to charge for 50 years and has a designed service life of 120 years. After completion, it can resist earthquakes of magnitude 8.
