　　亚洲位于亚欧大陆的东部。其与非洲的分界线为苏伊士运河，苏伊士运河以东为亚洲。与欧洲的分界线为乌拉尔山脉、乌拉尔河、里海、大高加索山脉、土耳其海峡、地中海和黑海。乌拉尔山脉以东及大高加索山脉、里海和黑海以南为亚洲。

　　亚洲地势起伏很大，中部高，四围低。东部有一列纵长的花彩状岛弧。平均海拔约950米，是除南极洲外世界上地势最高的一洲。山地、高原和丘陵约占总面积的3/4，其中有1/3的地区海拔在1000米以上。世界上海拔8000米以上的高峰，全分布在喀喇昆仑山脉和喜马拉雅山脉地带。平原占总面积的1/4，计1000多万平方千米。全洲大致以帕米尔高原为中心，一系列高大山脉向四方辐射伸延到大陆边缘。主要有天山山脉、昆仑山脉、喜马拉雅山脉、阿尔泰山脉、兴都库什山脉、厄尔布尔士山脉、托罗斯山脉和扎格罗斯山脉等。在以上主干山脉之间有青藏高原、蒙古高原、伊朗高原、安纳托利亚高原、德干高原、阿拉伯高原、中西伯利亚高原和塔里木盆地、准噶尔盆地、柴达木盆地等。

　　Asia is located in the eastern part of the Eurasian continent. Its boundary with Africa is the Suez Canal, and the east of the Suez Canal is Asia. The borders with Europe are the Ural Mountains, the Ural River, the Caspian Sea, the Greater Caucasus Mountains, the Turkish Strait, the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea. To the east of the Ural Mountains and to the south of the Greater Caucasus Mountains, the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea are Asia.

　　

Terrain of Asia:

 

　　The terrain in Asia is very undulating, with high central parts and low surrounding areas. To the east there is a series of long, festoon-like island arcs. With an average altitude of about 950 meters, it is the highest continent in the world except Antarctica. Mountains, plateaus and hills account for about 3/4 of the total area, and 1/3 of the area is above 1000 meters above sea level. The worlds highest peaks above 8,000 meters above sea level are all distributed in the Karakoram and Himalayas. Plains account for 1/4 of the total area, totaling more than 10 million square kilometers. The whole continent is roughly centered on the Pamir Plateau, and a series of tall mountains radiate to the edge of the continent. There are mainly Tianshan Mountains, Kunlun Mountains, Himalayas, Altai Mountains, Hindu Kush Mountains, Alborz Mountains, Taurus Mountains and Zagros Mountains. Among the above trunk mountains are the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the Mongolian Plateau, the Iranian Plateau, the Anatolian Plateau, the Deccan Plateau, the Arabian Plateau, the Central Siberian Plateau, the Tarim Basin, the Junggar Basin, and the Qaidam Basin.
